Welcome!

Started in 2005 by acclaimed dancer and actress Barbara Hoon, Six Degrees of Wellness, located at 25 Bloomfield Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834 is Morris County's premier body conditioning and wellness studio offering a variety of services centered around whole body health, balance and well being.

We do not have "memberships" so walk-ins are welcome... check our schedule for a class that interests you and just come on in!

Thank you to our students ....

We just celebrated our 3rd anniversary and to thank all of our students, Saturday and Sunday Nov 29th and 30th are free class days for all. Check our regular Saturday and Sunday class schedule and come for free Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi , Qi Gong or Zumba classes.

 

Schedule changes effective December 1 ..,

Meditation on Friday nights will be discontinued until further notice.

Monday morning 9:15 Yoga will be cancelled.

Gentle Yoga with Karen will begin on Thursdays at 4:30

*Qi Gong*

Please join Gary beginning Sat Oct 4 for our newest class offering, Qi Gong. This class will replace Kung Fu on Saturday from 10:15AM -11:15AM

Qi Gong is a system of energetic training which was developed in China. The basis of Qi Gong training is the development of one's intrinsic (internal) energy, and this is accomplished by various simple movements, natural breathing and training of one's intention or mind. The focus of this class will be energy development through natural means, rather than forced or unnatural methods. Gary Carbone is authorized to teach Qi Gong and Yiquan methods through his teacher Dr. Jiousong (James) Kan. This class is suitable for all levels.

Strength & Conditioning for Yoga and Pilates with Brad

Mondays 1:00-1:30PM Cost is $10 per session payable to Brad Pfister

No advance registration is required, pay at the door.

This half hour session of strength and conditioning with weights is designed to improve core conditioning, plus upper and lower body strength through resistance exercises.  It is suitable for all fitness levels.

The class is built around the concept that conditioning with resistance exercises enables your body to perform better in your daily life.

The instructor, Brad Pfister, is a professional athlete serving the community privately and commercially as a certified strength and conditioning coach for the past 20 years. He has a degree in Exercise Physiology and other certifications.

Brad is also available for private, duet, or group classes upon request.

Yoga notes

Six Degrees welcomes back Karen Noel Linardi

 We are happy to report that Yogini Karen Noel is back from Maine. She will be conducting open Yoga classes at our studio on Wednesday evenings and Thursday (beginning Dec 4) and Saturday afternoons. See schedule page for class times.

Karen is also available for private Yoga, Meditation or Reiki sessions. Please contact her directly at: strryskyes777@yahoo.com to make an appointment.

Fencing notes

Thursday evenings 7:30 to 8:30
