Yoga ... a beautiful way to shape your existence!

Yoga is a philosophy and a way of life; a sacred science originating in India over five thousand years ago.We have classes to fit all levels. Click here to check the schedule.

Gentle Yoga for Beginners

Learn and explore basic breathing (pranayama) techniques, sun salutations, basic standing and seated poses and finish with meditation and/or relaxation. Regular participation in this class will build strength, increase flexibility and help to regulate stress. Yoga is an active, movement-oriented discipline that links breath with movement as we flow from one asana (pose) to the next.

Mixed Level Yoga

These classes cover sun salutations, some inversions, backbends, standing and balancing poses, and seated and floor postures. Previous yoga experience is required, as is a basic understanding of meditation, pranayama and the ancient traditions of yoga.

"Promotes health, self-fulfillment and self-awareness."

Yoga is a step-by-step process that promotes health, self-fulfillment and self-awareness.  The word "yoga" means yoking or joining together. The techniques of yoga seek to bring into balance all the disparate aspects of the mind, body and personality so that you achieve strength and clarity of purpose supported by your whole being. It brings together different aspects of your internal life and helps connect you to your external world.

Yoga postures are designed to give maximum flexibility and strength to the skeletal, muscular and nervous systems, with emphasis on building a strong, healthy, supple spine (to the capacity of the indiviudal.)  The gradual strengthening of the nervous system builds poise, concentration and a more stable emotional nature. Poses (asanas) also massage internal organs and improve circulation, causing the release and distribution of vital hormones as well as supplying the brain and other cells with oxygen and other nutrients. Stretching poses gently work out muscle tension so that our muscles are able to more easily relax and -- you don't have to be flexible to start!

Pranayama (conscious, controlled breathing) calms mental turbulence and is very effective in helping indivuduals cope with stress, increase their energy level, and recover from fatique.

It takes time and the effects of yoga are cumulative. You will achieve the greatest and longest-lasting success in your practice if you make a commitment, a self-promise, to do some yoga every day; even it it is only for a few minutes.

Come explore yoga and witness. Let is enhance who you are and how you live your life.
